RETURNING TEXTBOOKS
Please return your textbooks to the library by the last day of classes, Tuesday, January 17th and place them into the BOOK RETURN bins. This will allow the library staff to begin the check-in, cleaning and repair of textbooks before they are re-issued for the next semester. Any textbooks that are damaged or are not returned by the end of the semester will be added to a student’s billing account.

During the first half hour of each final exam, the library clerks will go to the exam rooms to collect textbooks and English novels. Textbooks may also be returned to the library and placed in the BOOK RETURN bins. Please note that a student must return all textbooks required for final exam courses, even if the student anticipates enrolling in the same course next semester. Any textbooks that are damaged or not returned by the end of the semester will be added to a student’s billing account.

ADVENTURES IN TECHNOLOGY
The Rotary Club of Prince Albert is accepting applications to attend Adventures in Technology 2012 in Saskatoon. Adventures in Technology is a week-long exploration of advanced technology, research and development. This program will be at cost to the successful applicant. The application deadline is March 15th, 2012. For more information, please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services.
ST MARY'S GOT TALENT
St. Mary's Got Talent will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 7 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre. This will be a variety night fundraiser for building a school in Sierra Leone. Singers, musicians, bands, dancers, comedians, actors, magicians are encouraged to audition January 31st, February 1st and February 2nd at 12:30 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre. Audition sign up is on the door of Rm B38. We are also looking for enthusiastic students to MC the evening.
FORUM FOR YOUNG CANADIANS
Forum brings students to Ottawa to immerse them in national politics and public affairs. If you are interested in joining hundreds of other high school students for a one week stay in Ottawa on Parliament Hill, please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services. For more information and application forms, please visit http://www.forum.ca/. The two spring sessions are February 26th - March 2nd and March 25th to March 30th.
A.E. BLAKENEY SASKTEL BURSARY ($40 000)

SMHS ART CLUB
The SMHS Art Club will meet on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. in Rm B23. Activities include drawing, cartooning, painting or working with clay.
BAND REHEARSAL
Band rehearsal will be every Wednesday and Thursday at lunch from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. All band students are required to attend (25% of term mark). Students not registered in band are welcome to join noon hour rehearsals.
